Farewell Parties

I've been to two farewell parties in a row since yesterday: Class 313's yesterday evening and Class 314's this evening. They had different styles.

Class 313: Three film clips and one photo show were played during the dinner. The 1st is a film clip featuring the teachers, including their dancing; in the 2nd film clip, a student is writing about the teachers, interwoven with some students talking about their teachers; the 3rd is the photo show about each student; the fourth is a film clip in which students talk about their classmates. All the films were shot and edited by Shu-wei (周書緯) and Ting-ning (陳定寧). The photo show was made by their homeroom teacher Ming-yi (劉明怡老師).

Class 314: During the dinner, girls sang the song "I Have a Dream" first and then the boys sang "We Are the World." Then the teachers were invited to say something and sing for them. We teachers gave impromptu talks and some sang. This morning, remembering Randy Pausch's words: Be over-prepared. I prepared some words for the students. But Ididn't expect the singing part. However, I still sang. After all the teachers accomplished their "mission," the class sang a Chinese song together to wrap up the party.

Both classes gave us teachers a heartwarming night. Thank you, Classes 313 and 314.
