施振榮：我有聽媽媽的話 做對社會有用的事

宏碁創辦人施振榮今天到師大演講，他表示，台灣競爭力必須把「價值除以成本」，施政者不能只看見政治、管理，卻忽略社會風氣、環保這些隱性價值，價值必須是「利他」。他也呼籲大學生一生都要「學習、學習、再學習」，他說自己直到現在從沒放棄過任何一個學習的機會，付出的學費超過上百億，即使失敗都是種學習。施振榮笑說，小時候媽媽就告訴他，要做對社會有用的人，而他「有聽媽媽的話」，每天都想讓自己更有用。

My sister-in-law passed away at 5:15 this morning. The whole family is sad; however, she finally ended all her suffering. A booklet I read last Saturday mentioned that we can ask the dying about their unfulfilled wishes and tell him/her we will help to accomplish them. This reminds me of an article on a bulletin board in the hospice my sis-in-law stayed, part of which I shared thi past Sunday.

Today, I stayed at the hospice with my sister-in-law from 2pm to 10:15pm. Seeing a life withering, of course, I felt very sad. When explaining to us my sister-in-law's condition, the nurse said it would be my sister-in-law that decided when she would leave the world. Is it really so?

最近日本電視劇「我的家裡空無一物」，十分引人矚目！因為劇中主角是一位「丟棄東西的變態」，她有一種丟東西怪癖，凡是不常用、或用不到的，她都要將之丟棄送人，因此家中幾乎空無一物，只有幾樣常用的用具，衣櫥中也只有常穿的、不超過十件衣服，過著幾乎是極簡主義的生活。

這次去北京演講，通關後，想到人家說北京的高速公路很塞，進城要走三個小時，於是就先去上個廁所，想不到壞了，我把皮包給忘在北京海關的廁所裡了。我一開始還沒發覺，一直到上了輕軌電車，人很擁擠，我下意識要把皮包挪到胸前來保護時，才驚覺皮包不在身上，忘在樓上的廁所裡了，這一驚，非同小可，真的是魂飛魄散，因為護照、信用卡、手機、演講的資料統統在皮包中。

近日遊戲電玩展人潮擠爆，預期春節期間，許多人將沉迷於手機、電玩、臉書等互聯網路的情況。大家不能忽視春節期間這種病態症候群，約制一下自己過度使用互聯網的習性。

Last Friday via LINE, Hao-tang, a student who graduated from NHSH in 2012, suggested a gathering. It seems to have become a ritual for us to meet every half a year. In fact, when proposing the get-together, he said today would be the only day during winter vacation when he was available. He asked if he could bring his girlfriend. Surely, I answered. I'm happy to meet my students' friends. This was the second time I saw his girlfriend.

At today's meet-up, each of them told me what they are planning to do in the coming year. Looking at their young face and listening to them talk about what courses they are going to take, I missed all those days when I went to school. What fun it is to learn!

當時帶我做研究的是位韓國學長，他把自己寫的通訊系統模擬程式碼給我用，還給我研究的方向。他鼓勵我先研讀他寫的程式碼以對系統通盤了解。一直找不到方向的我，很興奮回家研讀學長的程式碼。但看別人的程式碼真不容易懂，才五分鐘我就有不懂的地方，趕緊打電話問。正在忙著趕博士論文的學長，耐心說明。又看了五分鐘，又發現某處不懂，又打電話問，學長再次耐心回答。十分鐘後，又不懂了，再打電話。這時學長語重心長說：「Ping-Cheng，明天我們見面談談。」
