My comments: A good example of the saying, "Where there is a will, there is a way." Today before discussing the mock exam, I told Class 309 that a former student of mine got a 23 on the first UEE mock exam but that after doing numerous practice tests, he scored 84 on the UEE. After class, a student came up and told me he would do as well. True stories like these do spark inspiration.

My comments: His guts and persistence raised him up.

My comments: Singing English songs is a good and fun way to practice pronunciation. When we sing, we naturally use linking or trimming, two fast speech phenomena. Hmm, this reminds me to teach my classes a song this or next week.
