Does this scene seem familiar to you? You attend a gathering, say, a class reunion, only to find almost everyone there staring at their smartphone screen. This is a scene in the play I watched this afternoon, at the invitation of Ruo-heng (陳若珩), a former student who graduated from NHSH two years ago.
The play was put on by his department of National Taiwan University of Arts. Its theme is the alienation between people caused by Facebook. In the play, the girl is addicted to FB. In the end, she finds herself isolated from the real world. A good play! I love it!
Two of Ruo-heng's classmates also came to watch the play.
