A "Silent" Game

This afternoon, in Class 214, around 5 minutes before the class was dismissed, I played a game to relax the students, who had sat in class for around 90 minutes.

The first person in each line was given a piece of paper. On the paper was a sentence of complaints made by a customer to the front desk of a hotel. The student read the sentence and handed it back to me. Then he/she had to convey the complaints to the second person without speaking. It went on until the last person got the message--nonverbally. The last person then wrote the complaints in English on a piece of paper.

It was fun to see students use body language to convey the idea. I saw several short "silent movies."
