This afternoon, at my aunt Lily's invitation, I went to Chen, Yu-chen's violin recital at National Taipei University of Education with two junior high school friends. I was enthralled by Yu-chen's performance. In fact, months ago, I heard him play H. W. Ernst's "Die letzte Rose (夏日最後的玫瑰)" at a violin concerto and was very impressed. Today, he played for nearly three hours and it was really fascinating.
Yu-chen has been playing the violin for 10 years, and that's why the first sentence in his acknowledgement says, "What can be accompished in ten years?"

Yu-chen's father is a friend of my uncle-in-law
P.S. The photo below was made by Xuei-shu with the pictures taken during lunch after attending a mutual friend's father's funeral.
What follows is a video of Sarah Chang, a violinist from South Korea, playing J. Sibelius' Violin Conerto in d minor, Op. 47, 1st Mov, which was the last piece of music Yu-chen played today. Amazing skills! By keeping up with his good work, Yu-chen will be on the world stage one day.
