A former NHSH student Andy (王榮頤) shared with me ALLEX on his visit this afternoon. His girlfriend got a scholarship through this foundation and is studying linguistics at Texas Tech University. Receiving the scholarship, she, after four months' training in Chinese pedagogy, has to teach Chinese at the university while studying there. Interested in this program? P.S. Andy is a jazz music major, who just got his AA from Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California and is continuing his studies at UCLA this summer. During this afternoon's visit, he played jazz, funk, and blues on piano. Amazing! He also shared with me seven pieces of background music he composed for clips of movies.
Andy studied computer science for three years in college, then, following his heart, re-took the UEE, and changed his course of life. A young man daring to give up and pursue his dream.
