如何準備學測及指考英文--萬修安學姐的個人經驗談

The 2nd mock exam was over this afternoon. It means that the SAT is just a few weeks away. Tonight, I called and asked Miranda, a former student who is majoring in English at National Central University, for her advice on how to prepare for English on the SAT and the UEE. Miranda got a 14 ranking score in English on the SAT and a 93.xx on the UEE. The following is her advice:

1. Follow the teacher. Review the textbook thoroughly. Read the reading text. Make sure that you are familiar with all the vocabulary in the textbook.

2. Do the Meow-meow practice test. Set the time limit as if you were taking the SAT or the UEE. If you can handle the questions on the Meow-meow, you will have little trouble doing when taking the big tests.

3. Do the past tests. Miranda even did them for the second time before the entrance exams.

4. Do extensive reading. Miranda read TIME in the third year. You can choose whatever outside reading you would like to read. Just keep the habit of reading English.

5. Memorize all the 4000 words. They are basics.

When asked whether she went to cram school, she said yes. She attended the so-called "mock exam class" for extra practice. However, she mentioned this is not a must
