A Life Lesson from a High School Teacher

This morning, on a short LINE chat with a junior high schoolmate, I told him that in fact, I can't remember what English my high school teacher in my senior year taught me, and that what I'll never forget is her talk in or out of class about life.

I can recall a story she told us in class. A couple always fight over which part of the toothpaste tube to squeeze when using it. The husband presses the middle part, while the wife insists that he should squeeze from the bottom. My dear teacher suggested a wise way: Each of the couple owns their own toothpaste so that they can use it the way they like.

Easy, individualized, and peaceful, isn't it?
