One more 314 Reunion

Time: 6:00pm, Friday, Sep. 13, 2013

Place: Pin Tian Restaurant

Attendees: Chia-jung Lee, Yi-fen Hsieh, Yu-ting Hung, Pi-han Wu, Yi-ling Chen, and me.

These girls didn't attend the class reunion last Friday. Some of them had to work. So before school starts next week, they decided to get together, and I was invited. The small gathering was organized by Chia-jung Lee.

Over dinner, we chatted about everything, their college life, their part-time jobs, and their future plan. We even discussed some debatable issues. For example, "Should capital punishment be abolished?" "Should prostitution be legalized?" and Michael Sandel's Justice.

Time flies fast. I still remember discussing with them in class Derek C. Bok's "Have a Good Four Years," and now they are halfway through college. When asked about their happy moments in college, some answered they enjoyed club activities, and some said they could choose the courses they like. Though they major in different fields: German, social welfare, finance, accounting, and mass communication, they have at least one thing in common--they are living with purpose. Good!

As usual, we gave each other a hug when bidding adieu. On my way to the bus stop, knowing I was going to take 214, Yu-ting surprised me by stopping to check on her smartphone how soon my bus was arriving before she headed for her bus stop. Our beautiful reunion ended with a wonderful period.
