This afternoon, my niece asked me an English grammar question:
What's the difference between simple future, future progressive, and future perfect tenses?
Besides some explanation, I drew a timeline and gave example sentences.
Nodding and tucking the paper into her grammar book, she seemed to understand it.
A picture can paint a thousand words. When teaching grammar, I always use timelines. After drawing the line, the first thing to do is to indicate "Now." It all starts from there.
