"A Plan for a Class Reunion"--A Full Score Essay on the 2005 CEEC Writing

提示︰指定科目考試完畢後，高中同學決定召開畢業後的第一次同學會，你被公推負責主辦。請將你打算籌辦的活動寫成一篇短文。文分兩段，第一段詳細介紹同學  會的時間、地點及活動內容，第二段則說明採取這種活動方式的理由。

Since I have the honor to hold our first class reunion, our team, including me and few other classmates, have finally decided how this party will go. Firstly, considering that we girls are definitely going to get very wild and noisy, therefore we choose to hold the party at the Cashbox KTV, next to our school rather than a high-class restaurant. As to how the party will go, we have decided several games, including singing, of course, gift-exchanging, and most importantly, the girl chat. Also the date will be on July 10^th, from 1pm to 5pm. The reason why we chose this date is that we think you girls might want to have some personal time with your family and friends, therefore we set the date on mid-July. That’s how our first reunion will go. Remember, it’s on July 10^th, start from 1pm, and don’t’ be late. My comments: It is not easy to score full marks on the writing part of every year's college entrance exam. Ms. Lee wrote in fluent English without using "big" words. My only question is why no point was taken off for her failure to follow the instructions, which required examinees to write in two paragraphs. Despite this, it is really a well-written essay.
