Get to Know the Rule

This morning, I had my car towed away.

George and I ate breakfast at Ikari. When we stepped out of the cafe, we couldn't see our car, which had been parked at the motorcycle parking lot near the cafe. George had parked there because he had a vague idea that motorcycle parking lots were OK for car parking on Sunday. The sign "NT$20 from Monday to Saturday" had confirmed his thought. However, our car was towed away.

After reaching where our car was impounded, we asked about the rule and was told that only where there was a sign saying "OK for cars on weekends" could we park our car on the motorcycle parking lot.

We paid NT$1,800 for our ignorance and learned a lesson.

When we are ignorant of a rule, the rule is still there. Just because we know nothing about it doesn't mean we can escape the punishment. That's also a rule.
