What I Need Most for Life
The indispensable things that allow me to live on are books. Without money, I’ll be OK. Without fame, I’ll be fine. Virtually without everything I will still survive, but it does not include books.
Books are to me as water is to fish. All kinds of books, be they comics, story books, novels, or even textbooks, can quench my thirst for reading. By means of reading books, I can enter a world totally different from this one. With books, I can continuously pursue a higher level of spirituality. The higher I achieve, the less likely it is that my spiritual self will be bothered by worldly affairs. Only books can lift me where I belong and make me feel fabulous.
To sum up, what I need most for life, without question, is books. I can’t even imagine a life without books. It would be unbearably miserable.
