Brick walls in life

"Brick walls are there for a reason: they let us prove how badly we want things."

This is a statement from Prof. Randy Pausch's "The Last Lecture." By this, he meant that brick walls, or obstacles in life, are there to stop those who don't want things enough and let in those who want them desperately.
