This morning, while I was cleaning up my office desk, I came across this card, which my former student June gave me last year before she graduated. June's English was already very good when we met. She scored very high on SAT, a standardized test for college admissions in the United States. Just take a look at the reading list she sent me during the summer before her third year in high school, and you know how good her English is.

With such a good command of English, she had the English course waived in her second year. The little time we spent together working on English was when she represented the school for Taipei citywide English Speech Contest, in which she came in second place. Therefore, our relationship was mainly built on our interactions during the break or after school. This photo reminds me of the good old days.
P.S.
Books Shih Jen Chang had read before her third year of high school , though she probably didn't remember exactly what they were about, since she read them quite long ago.
