The week before last, I had my homeroom class choose from three topics to write on in their weekly journal: The Book Which Influences Me Most, Ms. Lee, Listen to Me, and The Most Important Thing School Should Teach Students.
Most of the students wrote on the third topic, and the following is a list of the most important things my students think should be taught in school:
1. Selflessness, self-control, self-confidence, ambition
2. Empahty
3. Teamwork
4. The ability to cope with frustration
5. The ability to deal with others and things; interpersonal relationships
6. Honesty, with some flexibility
7. Sense of responsibility
8. Punctuality.
What do you think is the most important thing school should teach students?
