A Reflection by a Student on "All You Have Is What You Bring With You"

The other day I gave the students an article to read, entitled "All You Have Is What You Bring With You." It is from Dr. Pausch's The Last Lecture. After reading it, they were required to write either their reflection or a letter to Dr. Pausch. Most of them did a good job. Here is an essay from a student in Class 209.

                                                                                     My Reflection

Very often, the things we have with us are the only things that can help us. Whether we're taking a test, giving a report, writing an essay, or simply just going on vacation, the equipment we bring is our survival kit. When we get on the podium to give our speech, the things we've memorized, or our creative imagination and ideas we have to share with the audience are the only things that we have with us, and without them, we are left with nothing but a few hundred eyes staring at us while we fret.
