A Memory We Share

In my class, there were always competitions. Students competed to give responses, such as answering questions, making sentences, summarizing, etc.  Each correct response in English earned two points, and a wrong one or one not in English earned one. A line made a team. The team which got the most points in a week won a carton of milk for each of its member.

My purpose was to get students to talk in English, which I put the most emphasis on. The prize took care of the students' health too.

Now, as a subsutitute teacher, I follow my own tradition.
