Oscar Award 2013

The Academy Award winner list has come out, which, with the list of the nominees, is presented at its official website.

It's a pity that people outside the United States cannot access the videos, including the trailors, clips of the performances and the Thank You speeches.

Ang Lee won the award for Best Director.  This morning, seeing him walk onto the stage to receive the award, I cried with tears of joy.  When I heard him mention "Taiwan" and "city of Taichung," my heart was filled with unlimited gratitude.  Thank you, Ang Lee, for remembering your hometown at one of your proudest and best moments and putting Taiwan onto the world stage again.

Actually, I watched Ang Lee's complete speech (2:44) this afternoon through Facebook.  Strangely, that Youtube video clip is not available now.
