Happy Marriage, My Dear Students

The beautifully-designed wedding invitation from Hungzen.

The creative wedding invitation from Chung-chun.

Two former students, Chung-chun and Hungzen, had their wedding yesterday and today respectively with their loved woman.   Invited and wishing to go, I still finally decided not to, because it's a taboo in Taiwan for the bereaved to attend a wedding during the mourning period, which usually extends for one year or at least 100 days.  Although my students had told me they didn't care and sincerely wanted me to go, I still had to take their bride, parents, and in-laws into consideration.   Anyway, they still have all the best wishes from me, and we can have our private gathering some other time.

Here's my wedding wishes message for them:

"Have a very happy marriage.   Wish you doubled joy and etermal love!"

The following are four of the websites that offer wedding congratulation messages:

Among others, my favorite messages from these sites are:

"May your marriage be filled with all the right ingredients: a heap of love, a dash of humor, a touch of romance, and a spoonful of understanding. May your joy last forever. Congratulations!"

"May your love bloom brighter and your companionship grow sweeter with each passing year. Congratulations on your wedding."

"Wishing you both the happily ever after you deserve. Congratulations on your wedding day!"

"As you begin your new life together, may you look forward to all of the seasons of life together, from the spring of youth to the winter of age."

“As you tie the knot with the love of your life today, wishing you years of togetherness and companionship.”

“On this special day of your wedding wishing you happiness and love like the unending circle of your wedding ring.”

"May the eyes always smile and the heart always beat in sight of your loved one. Congratulations."
