Bringing Movies into Class

Today my student teacher Ali (葛淑瑄) taught 214 for the second time. Speaking fluent English and appearing calm, she looked quite experienced.

Ali made the class more interesting by bringing movies into class. A movie lover, she mentioned a lot of movies in class. For example, last Thursday when she introduced the word "click," she mentioned the movie "Click." At the word "pursuit" in the reading text, she talked about the movie "The Pursuit of Happyness." She even let the students watch the trailer of "Click" at the end of the class. Today she mentioned more: "Wild Thing," "Bruce Almighty," and "Birth." The most impressive one is "Bruce Almighty," in which the coined words "kisser" and "kissee" are good extension of words like "employer" and "employee," "interviewer" and "interviewee." Amazing!
