Jamie Raven, the Magician at Britain's Got Talent

The other day, a friend, who once taught English at a junior high school, told me that she found her English not as good as before because she could not hardly understand what was said at this year's Academy Awards.

It's easier to understand speeches at TED than a movie or a show. When delivering a speech, the speaker usually speaks a little slower than the normal speed because he/she wants to convey his/her ideas clearly. However, in a show or a movie for native speakers, the speed is very natural. Watch the above video of the Britain's Got Talent. That's the way people talk in the States or the UK. In this video, you'll see how Jamie Raven stunned the judges and the audience. He received a standing ovation from all. Bravo!

Don't forget to listen to the English.

The following video is also of Jamie Raven playing magic at the final of Britain's Got Talent. Watching it, you'll believe in magic.
