This afternoon, I got a surprise gift from my dear friend Annie. Though she told me about the heart-shaped pillow yesterday evening on the phone, I didn't expect the gift arrived so fast. And I didn't know about the chocolate.
Annie and I have known each other for about 17 years. For the past years, I got a lot of inspiration and encouragement from her. During the first few years, we talked to each other on the phone almost every evening, chatting about teaching, about books and articles we read. She set a good example to me--her passion for learning, her enthusiasm for education and her love for her students.
Dear Annie, thank you for being my friend.
