The Child Is Father of the Man

The sight of the caterpillars this morning on my balcony reminded me of William Wordsworth's sentence "The Child is father of the Man" from the poem "My Heart Leaps Up When I Behold."

My Heart Leaps Up When I Behold

--by William Wordsworth

My heart leaps up when I behold

A rainbow in the sky:

So was it when my life began;

So is it now I am a man;

So be it when I shall grow old,

Or let me die!

The Child is father of the Man;

I could wish my days to be

Bound each to each by natural piety.

(Here is a brief introduction to the poem: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Heart_Leaps_Up.)

The above two photos were taken in the morning; the one below in the evening.
